ShortcutThe Shortcut controls are used to define the key combinations used to activate the Quick Search feature
Alt+Letter
When
the ( ) Alt+Letter radio button is selected then typing a letter key
while holding down the [Alt] key in a file panel will activate the
Quick Search feature. You can continue to hold down the [Alt] key
while typing the pattern (the [Alt] key is filtered out) or you can
release the [Alt] key anytime after the feature is activated.
The defaults value for this setting is "selected".
Ctrl+Alt+Letter
When
the ( ) Ctrl+Alt+Letter button is selected then typing a letter key
while holding down both the [Ctrl] and [Alt] keys in a file panel will
activate the Quick Search feature. You can continue to hold down
the [Ctrl] and [Alt] keys while typing the pattern (the keys are
filtered out) or you can release the [Ctrl] and [Alt] keys anytime
after the feature is activated.
The defaults value for this setting is "unselected".
Letter
When
the ( ) Letter button is selected then typing a letter key will active
the Quick Search feature. When selecting this option the
automatic diversion of keystrokes to the Command Line panel is disabled.
The default value for this setting is "unselected".
Starts with filterThe
[ ] Starts With Filter checkbox controls the behavior of the search and
filter functions. When this control is checked then the
search/filter requires that matching items "start with" the entered
pattern. When unchecked the search/filter uses a "contains"
pattern.
The default for this setting is :unchecked".
